I put a small split shot a few inches ahead of this fly, then I attach a bead-head nymph w/ mono to the bend of the streamer hook. Brookies can't seem to resist this streamer. It also acts as an indicator in a way, suspending the nymph, and the white wing is easy to watch and detect nymph strikes.
