Kauffmann Stimulator patterns are well known by trout fisherman and trout everywhere.  High floating and easy to see, they make for a great indicator fly that can handle  larger nymphs.  As a dry fly, it fishes well during stonefly, and caddis activity.  It works great as an attractor pattern and should be in every brook trout fisherman's arsenal.
